Exciting career opportunity in the Manufacturing function, in the capacity of Plant Manager Gum & Candy, Borg El Arab; based in Alex – Egypt.

The main purpose of the role is to have a direct responsibility of managing all matters related to manufacturing in BEA producing Gum, Candy and related products. The plant manager is responsible for all Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale related deliverables of the site and ensures business needs are met, the site progresses in IL6S capability building and maintains a progressive journey to become a world class manufacturing facility.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for all manufacturing related matters in BEA and lead the plant leadership team. Responsible for long term strategies for the plants, implementation of regional strategies and providing an overall direction for the plant and organization.
• Represent the plant in various local and regional forums and with local related government organization
• Leads and manages organization matters including development of top talent, performance management of employees, and ensuring organization is fully engaged to the overall plant direction
• Plans and manages annual and quarterly manufacturing budgets for the factory, delivering the yearly net productivity targets and ensuring that there is a productivity pipeline which is sufficient for the current year and future productivity deliverables. Keeping a very close control and oversight on the budgets, spending and taking measures as necessary to stay within the approved budgets
• Owns and Deliver all SQCDSM targets for the site with special emphasis on cost and drive a substantial reduction in $/ton cost of the plant.
• Owns IL6S implementation at the site in such a way that the plant keeps on progressing on a fast track to become a world class manufacturing facility.
• Plans and delivers the yearly capital expenditure for the site Plans and manages all projects with Vertical startups and within budgets
• Provides support to the business in new product developments
• Manages and build relationships with all functions; RDQ, Engineering, CSL, Sales etc
• Ensures all legal and regulatory compliances related to plant and plant operations.
• Any other task that may be assigned by the management.
