Job Description
- Be part of the finance operations controlling community and act an integral team member focused on delivering right analysis, reports, and recommendations of the Inventory.
- Manage and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations.
- Be responsible for managing and running planned stock takes. Perform on-going cycle counts for all inventory categories/inventory accuracy check
- Control material excess and obsolete.
- Prepare inventory provision studies in accordance to company provision policies.
- Ensure that goods inward / stock control department is well organized and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business.
- Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
- Provide routine management information on inventory performance i. Monitor and evaluate consumables usage & costs ii. Monitor & evaluate material utilization and scrap.
- Ensure works orders are correct and fully completed and that all stock has been allocated to the job correctly. Control and follow up production job order.
- Liaising and follow up with planning department the Job orders variances.
- Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved.
- Ensuring accuracy of inventory counts, analyzing results, book-to-physical reconciliations, investigating variances, and resolving issues through use of root-cause analysis.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory reserves: inventory shrink and obsolescence.
- Completes inventory analysis, presents regular results to upper management.
Job Requirements
- At least 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing accounting, work experience in a GL position is preferred.
- Ideally, possess a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in inventory management / purchasing Good at communication and observation.
- Have a detailed understanding of MRP and inventory control/management systems and ERP (SAP or Oracle).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality. Good communication skills (written/oral)
