Description
The Network Systems Administrator will use their knowledge of system architecture and administration to provide operational support for business critical systems. Based upon strategic direction and initiatives the candidate must be able to deliver successful results for agreed upon objectives.
A thorough knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies is essential.
This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, strong customer service focus, and ability to work in a team as well as independently, ability to learn on the fly, ability to follow procedures, and ability to suggest improvements to existing procedures as appropriate.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Three or more years experience providing operations support for enterprise environments.
- ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
Required skills
- Mellanox Infiniband Switch Administration
- Juniper switches
- Cisco Nexus and IOS based devices
- Cisco routers
- Cisco IPSEC and SSL VPN
- VPN technologies and encryption methods
- Load Balancer administration
- Firewall administration
- Experience creating and analyzing network packet traces
- In-depth knowledge of network technologies , such as VLAN, STP , LACP
- In-depth knowledge of DNS and DHCP operations
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and SNMP
- In-depth knowledge on routing network protocols OSPF ,BGP and HSRP
- MS Visio
Optional but desirable skills
- Unix / Linux systems administration
- Oracle Enterprise Manager
