Job Description

A. JOB SUMMARY:

Contributes to provide accurate customer and marketing related analysis, benchmarks and reports. Proactively provides related financial services to the Business Unit Customer and Marketing roles in an accurate, timely manner to ensure optimal allocation of system resources in implementation of the Company's business strategies.

Supports Finance organization, Customer and Marketing Functions on system thinking related to financial policies, programs, customer & marketing investments and productivity, long-range goals and objectives.

B. KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Contributes to provide customer and marketing insights and prepares reports on value creation across the system through focus on Customers and Marketing Investments & Productivity

  • Performs analysis in customer investments, deals, identifies value creation opportunities for existing and potential customers, recommends programs and defines actions
  • Performs analysis in customer related contract commitments, Terms and Conditions of new Customer Agreements, understands implications and trade-offs and provides recommendations
  • Performs analysis to assist Customer & Marketing Managers in order to understand the impact of long-term shifts between channels, implications of investments and ensures contingencies in place to address threats and acceleration to capture opportunities
  • Conducts Customer Pricing Analysis
  • Evaluates external environment and identify key competitors
  • Performs analysis in competitive positioning/opportunities by assessing volume/value pool share
  • Prepares marketing research, beverage trends reports to identify marketing investment and M&A opportunities
  • Supports M&A opportunity mapping process within BU
  • Performs analysis in marketing productivity performance/trends and provides recommendations for productivity opportunities
  • Conducts promotion analysis
  • Conducts competitor insight analysis
  • Analyzes DMI spending brand performance and share brand performance trends with Marketing
  • Conducts benchmarking studies
  • Actual DME/Deductions closing activities:
    • Performs DME/Deductions reconciliation and charges to/from Bottlers
    • Performs year-end & month-end DME/Deductions accrual and forward the JV to CIFM, P&A and GFO for posting.
    • Reconciles prepaid expense balance pertaining to customers in coordination with GFO
    • Performs RE/BP for customer's DME & Deductions across the BU along with OI equalization with the bottlers.
    • Quarterly Risk and Opportunity report to CIFM/RFM/BUFD/P&A.

2. Performs customer related financial analysis and reports such as:

  • Calculates customer VC reports for main customers
  • Calculates and submits McDonalds System P&L
  • Defines metrics to measure customer performance and provide performance reports
  • Performs channel mix trend analysis, calculate impact of channel mix shift
  • Monthly volume and NSR reporting.
  • Assesses Retailer Out-of-Stock analysis and prepares recommendations

3. Participates in Collaborative Partnerships with BU/Region Stakeholders:

  • Supports BU/Region customer, marketing and other functions regarding various analysis and reports
  • Supports Business Unit Customer & Marketing roles with analysis and reports regarding Business Unit wide strategic accounts, acquisition and negotiations

4. Ensures guidelines are applied within the Business Unit in all Regions. Acts as data steward and ensure standard processes are followed.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a multinational environment with financial analysis.
