Job Description
- Submit/Perform the required change requests relevant to Data Center virtual and physical infrastructure
- Support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, aggregators, switches, wifi controllers, and firewalls
- Perform root cause analysis to resolve current problems and solve issues, often under time constraints
- Perform regular monitoring to identify any possible wrong behaviors. Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions.
- Report activities, Task assignment and follow up over exercises carried out in Network support unit.
- Respond to customer inquiries through Phone calls, emails and/or tickets, and Log all customer communications in the ticketing system
- Contact ISPs/Suppliers/Vendors for escalating/following up incidents
- Perform 1st & 2nd Tier support and troubleshooting for Data Center problems and outages
- Handle Customers’ equipment matters in the Data Center CMDB, establish the required relationships and ensure that it’s visible in the Data Center CMDB reports.
- Collect the required approvals for any Change requests, Incidents and Problems
- Response to the customer request with the agreed on SLA
- Escalate incidents/problems to the 3rd tier support
- Log the daily time sheet relevant to the shift activity.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. degree in engineering (computer/communication).
- CCNP is a must
- CCNA Security is a Must
- Excellent English language
- Knowledge Data Center hardware (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IPSs, Servers, Storage, SAN switches, etc.).
- 3-5 years’ experience in Data Center Network Operations and customer support field.
