Job Description
- Issuing purchasing orders for all materials, coordinating the request and procurement of goods with all departments.
- Maintaining vendors files, stock lists and prices, endeavoring to obtain the best quality for the right price ( Three quotations are mandatory).
- Ensuring all imported supplies are properly handled.
- To negotiate all contracts and pursue a low cost, high quality and service.
- Coordinating with the fleet supervisor to control DHL Egypt vehicle fleet system.
- To research and analyze existing and potential suppliers in terms of :
- Price and payment terms and quality and variety of products
- To offer an information service to the management team on all matters involving purchasing and services to the co.
- To liaise with Sales & Marketing on all matters connected with the use of advertising agencies and printing firms and to ensure that DHL policies in this regard are complied with.
- To ensure that there are standard specifications for all products. This to be done in close cooperation with the heads of department.
- To authorize rejection of products which are not to standard in conjunction with the receiving and store department.
- To assist in establishing the annual budget for capital expenditure.
- To keep accurate and detailed records of all orders placed and transactions combined up to the receipt of goods.
