Job Brief
The overall responsibility of the Retail Category Manager is to optimize sales for a particular group of products online.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Lead overall experience for apps category page including page layout and content selection.
- Implement best in class merchandising experiences through compelling content in order to increase app acquisition, reach customer engagement and category financial objectives
- Develop seasonal content strategy plan based on content assortment, internal learning and competitive insights
- Provide recommendations related to site improvements including features, functionality and capabilities to enhance the customer experience
- Strategize new ways of executing category offers, cross-sell/up-sell strategies to drive volume
- Strategize, create and execute against monthly merchandising calendars

Qualification
- The qualification of a successful Retail Category Manager includes hard and soft management skills, analytical and retail management skills, as well as people relationship skills.
- Must be analytical and practical to manage the numbers part of their job effectively.
- You must be able to multi-task and be an effective problem solver.
- You must have good judgment and wisdom in negotiations, projections, and communications.
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail are essential skills
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience required.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint
