Job Description
The System Engineer is responsible for providing a quality product that meets the group’s needs, with regard to both the business and the technical needs of Alkan CIT group.
Accountabilities and Duties:
- Install, operate and maintain both software and hardware.
- Assist and contribute with technical team in troubleshooting technical problems.
- Test devices before and after installation to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the devices.
- Perform regular visits to the sites to ensure of the efficiency and effectiveness of the technical performance
- Coordinate within and/or with other BU’s technical issues
- Responsible for initiating and analyzing periodical reports
- Mentor other technicians’ team to deliver the technical experience
- Break down the problem or issue at hand into smaller manageable parts.
- Abide by operational standards and settings.
- Work as per the needed operational policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain the system handbook.
- Reduce manual intervention and increase productivity of the technical teams.
- Coordinate user support, carry out configuration management on the OSS/BSS systems to ensure that the systems are running optimally and that the end user experience is optimized for the operation and maintenance of the IP networks.
- Housekeep and follow up the OSS/BSS systems to ensure they are performing within specifications and fully optimized.
- Manage and obtain approval for all changes for the platform, ensuring full communication to the internal and customer base, producing user guides/work instructions where required
- Assist with management requests & development requests through the change process.
- Work in collaboration with IT engineering and testing teams for application development.
- Become a business owner to support system integration and UAT for system changes or upgrades.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Communication Engineering.
- Fluency in English language.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Proficient at time management and meeting deadlines and flexible with changing priorities.
- Ability to work and deliver under the pressure of deadlines and commitments to the customer.
- Demonstrates professionalism in all areas of work.
- Telecom experience preferred, preferable hands on experience on OSS/ BSS area.
