Job Description
The degree or level of the job accountabilities is dependent upon the grade of the Jobholder in the Jobholder position. The job accountabilities for the Jobholder include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintains contact with vendors in the maintenance, service and/or purchase of the network/security equipment.
- Designs network and security infrastructure (physical and virtual) for the purpose of ensuring effective and efficient networking and security systems.
- Manages hardware and network/security resources including network and security applications for the purpose of delivering services in compliance with established policies ,guidelines and objectives
- Play a major role in presenting to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software and telecommunications equipment.
- Research trends, solutions, products, equipment, etc. for the purpose of recommending procedures and/or purchases
- Responds to emergency situations as needed for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns
- Makes budget recommendations in relating to security, network and communication solutions to IT infrastructure group leader.
- Proactively manage and monitor the reliability of network performance and security mechanism.
- Assist in designing and enforce network and security policies, procedures and standards, ensuring conformance with information systems and objectives.
Job Requirements
- A University degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Information Technology and Network and security Administration.
- Experience with banking industry systems is desirable, but not mandatory.
- Experience of leading a technical team and dealing with all management responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to work very effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented manner with other leaders and team members.
- Good team player with the ability to work very effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented manner with other teams.
- Must have initiative and a positive work attitude and must be a quick learner with a zeal for self-learning.
- Must be confident, eager and willing to take on new challenges.
- Must be cooperative with good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Team builder and has good management and leadership skills.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
