Mani Purpose:

To lead the implementation of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) systems and programs within the plant and achieve maximum safety consciousness among the employees of the site to ensure EHS contentious results improvement and thus ensure accident-free plant.

  • Lead and monitor the implementation of GEHSMS, PI EHS Standards, and OHSAS 14001 and 18001 compliance plans for the plant.

  • Drive the change for the improvement of the safety awareness & culture among plant employees at all levels.

  • Assures site management and Egypt Plants EHS Manager a continuous flow of information concerning accidents, incidents, near misses, potential hazards, interference by governmental authorities, and activities at the site which contribute to safety consciousness and accident prevention.

  • Ensure that all required risk assessments and risk mitigation plans are properly conducted and executed via SATs to eliminate all identified safety risks in the plant.

  • Ensure that all planned general inspections (PGIs) are carried out timely by safety officers and SATs and that inspection results are reported to relevant management

  • Monitor annual site EHS objective(s) plan implementation and plant performance improvements.

  • Proposes safety measures and enablers to prevent accidents which may arise from various stages of production.

  • Co-ordinate EHS activities within the site through his/her officers teams and safety action teams.

  • Develops and continually monitor the performance of site safety action teams.

  • Investigates causes of accidents, incidents, injuries and illness resulting from industrial incidents and initiates corrective actions to avoid recurrence.

  • Develop and lead communication of all SWPs (Safe Work Practices) for all jobs in the plant and Educates workers to dangers existing at the site through "safety-first" campaigns.

  • Ensure timely and through inspection of plant fire protection & prevention systems.

  • Plan and conduct emergency drills for the plant and reports learning and required actions to plant manager and Egypt Plants EHS Manager.

  • Develop all required procedures and documentation needs for OHSAS 1400, 18001, PI standards and multi certification audit.

  • Ensure proper distribution and usage of provided PPEs across all plant workforces.

  • Monitor site EHS performance and monthly report results to plant manager and Egypt Plants EHS Manager.

  • Ensure safety training programs are attended and completed for all employees in the site and Evaluates training results through monitoring trainees’ safety performance.

  • Organize & lead safety motivation events in the plant.

  • Single point contact for Local environment, safety office, and regular health screening.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in any relevant discipline is required, preferably Engineering/Scientific.

  • Minimum 6 years of previous experience in Safety Management with reputable companies.

  • Good leadership skills that enables the coordination of safety programs at departments and managers levels

  • Good Communication skills &persuasiveness skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of safety principles, policies and KPI's (incidents, etc.)

  • Excellent Microsoft office skills.

  • Good analytical and trouble shooting skills.
