Job Description
Job Purpose
- Study oil and gas division tenders and inquiries, develop quotations and technical submittals in compliance with the appropriate engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions, and to follow-up the quotations in all tender stages until contract/PO awarded.
Major Responsibilities
Prepare Proposals & Tenders For Oil & Gas Sector
- Study client tenders and inquires.
- Manage associated cost preparation responsibilities.
- Prepare technical & commercial proposals drafts.
- Ensure bids / proposals are submitted on time in accordance with customer requirements.
- Ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines.
- Conduct site visits whenever needed to prepare bill of materials according to project range and specification.
- Act as the company’s internal contact point during the bidding process.
- Effectively manage customers’ expectations and respond to customer inquiries to meet project timescales/deadlines
- Attend clarification meetings with customers when required.
- Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order.
Follow Up
- Monitor internal work cycle and procedures with finance, supply chain, and technical office to provide the customer with the required documents such as letter of guarantee, shipping documents, shop drawings, etc...
- Amend the proposal or tender with any modification to keep record with the last requirement and adjustments.
Filing And Data Administration
- Collect and archive documentation regarding the offer/order and records and decisions taken during the development process.
Job Requirements
Qualifications And Experience Required
- BS of electrical /mechanical engineering or relevant major.
- 3-5 year hands on experience in firefighting systems and /or fire alarms. (specially for oil & gas sector )
- Experience of dealing with complex tenders.
- Excellent user for AutoCAD
- Good user for MS office
