Job Description
- Determine project needs clarify needed products to efficiently and safely operate.
- Review any engineering changes that impact material or supplier to adapt accordingly.
- Develop specifications and performance test samples
- Analyse technical data, designs, preliminary specifications and availability of parts and equipment.
- Choose the appropriate suppliers to purchase from, do extensive industry research
- Negotiate sales agreements to buy the required products
- Manage supplier performance in terms of quality, competitive pricing, on-time delivery, and responsiveness
- Ongoing team training on effective technical procurement processes and strategy
- Develop, implement and drive the technical procurement policy in order to meet corporate targets
Job Requirements
- BSc. Of Civil Engineering
- 3-5 years Experience in civil engineering, procurement and operations
- Commercial and/or residential construction
- MS office, AutoCAD
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to integrate technical knowledge with business judgement.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements
- Great Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers
- Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities
