Job Description
- Assist estimation team & provide design concept sketches / drawings in the tendering phase.
- Study, review & analyze the projects’ scope, BOQ & Specification to obtain all necessary data about the project externally & internally.
- Contact the sales department for any technical support & clarification.
- Set up construction issues related to the project according to architectural concept drawings, contract / specification and BOQ.
- Ensure the structural checks done for all necessary components prior to shop drawings.
- Develop & design shop drawings and submit them to consultant / contractor for reviewing & approval directly or through coordinators. And handle the modification if required.
- Maintain necessary specification for standard / non-standard constructions.
- Sometimes visit customer for resolving technical issues coordination with the project manager.
- Provide technical support to project manager.
- Provide assistance to factory & site if required.
- Receive size dimensions from operation department based on projects’ drawings through the coordinators; and issue the work order according to site dimensions.
- Handle variations’ designs in case of addition upon the consultant / contractor request.
- Handle Rejections cases by passing again through fabrication & ordering phase.
- Prepare as Built for some projects to compare projects drawings vs. executed drawings.
Job Requirements
- BSC of Engineering preferred “Architecture”.
- 0-2 years experience in aluminum & glass field.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD,2D,3D,Schucal Training,Schuco product.
- An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles.
- An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods.
