Job Description

The Creative Designer’s core responsibilities include the following:

  • Work closely with the lead textbook designer, using Creative software such as Indesign, to develop early childhood textbooks for
  • Develop, place, and align images and illustrations creating content for pages in student book and teacher guides
  • Format/design powerpoints in English and Arabic
  • Create flyers, brochures, hand-outs, reports and other print materials for external marketing
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to conduct meticulous review of text and images
  • The responsibilities are indicative and may vary over time. Employees are expected to undertake other responsibilities relevant to the nature, level and scope of the role.

Supporting Other Team Members

  • Every member of the team is expected to support other team members as and when required.

Delivering Continuous Improvement

  • Every member of the team is expected to continuously seek ways to deliver the task in the most efficient way possible while maintaining an excellent standard of work.

  • Experience in Indesign is a must, other creative software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. is a bonus
  • Experience in developing textbooks, specifically for the younger age group (ages 5-8)

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • The ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure
  • Proven organisational skills with a high degree of accuracy
