Job Description
Responsibilities:
- The construction accountant Supports Construction projects team with the accounting and billing process
Duties:
- Prepare accurate owner billing and invoices on a timely basis
- Coordinate the owner billing process with the project team and follow up the payment
- Review owners contracts and identify contractual terms for billing process
- Analyze purchase orders and purchase orders changes for correct calculations including sales tax
- Review subcontractor pay applications
- Analyze tax rates charged on miscellaneous invoices
- Enter reviewed purchase orders,subcontractors pay applications and miscellaneous invoices into accounting software and arranged files
- Review and analyze expenses of employees on assigned projects
- Additional duties to support project accounting needs may be assigned
Job Requirements
- 3 years of strong accounting experience
- Accounting degree preferred
- Excellent Microsoft office command specially excel
- Construction Accountant experience strongly preferred
- Experience of tax calculation
- Problem solving skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to work under stress
- Detail oriented
- Ability to manage multiple projects
