Job Description
- Supervising and managing the materials needed for projects in their organization.
- They are in charge of supervising all activities related to receiving purchased parts, material flow, and servicing parts as needed.
- Manage all materials-related activities such as ordering, controlling as well as suggest changes to storage and retrieval processes to maximize the use of company resources.
- In addition, they participate in the inventory process by keeping accurate materials counts
- To support the Production Planning function in the areas of capacity review including long term planning
- Ensure staff’s compliance on SOPs - Stock control analysis and annual physical count.
- Ensure that practical plan is provided for reference at daily planning meeting
Job Requirements
- BA or BS degree or equivalent experience with emphasis in supply chain management
- Preferable Engineering Degree.
- At least 5-7 years of progressively responsible materials control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of materials management theories, processes and practices
- Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous.
