Job Description
- Create products that are both visually appealing and user-friendly by combining artistic and engineering insight with a keen sense of business development.
- Observe model and test their design, for items like furniture accessories, to make them optimal and cost effective.
- The look, color and finish of the product are usually very important and often contribute greatly to its appeal for the consumer.
- Preparing initial sketches followed by technical drawings using specialist computer assisted design 2D and 3D (CAD) software.
- Developing a model or prototype which can then be used to progress the product to small or large-scale manufacture and well-developed technical and creative skills with imagination.
- Clarifying, solving design issue and correcting product faults.
- Meeting with the client or senior managers to discuss the initial concept and creating new design solutions and developing existing designs.
- Maintaining an awareness of current design trends and influences.
- Consulting managers and clients about design requirements.
- Good team-working skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness, the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Presenting designs, samples and final work to sales/customer for evaluation.
- Employing a good knowledge of market trends and health safety issues.
- Learning new skills and endeavor in new fields.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree related to industrial design or engineering (Faculty of engineering or applied arts).
- Proficiency with computer-aided design software (3D Max – Solid Edge – AutoCAD).
- Relevant school subject include (Art and Design) (Design and Technology) (English, Math and Physics).
- Excellent in English language both written and spoken.
- From 1 to 3 years of experience.
