Job Description:
- We are looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users.
- Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
- You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application.
- Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
What you'll do:
- Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way.
- Follow industry best practices to develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary.
- Produce detailed specifications & technical documentation.
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
Job Requirements
What we're looking for:
- A passion for the Linux, Apache, MySQL, & PHP (LAMP) development stack or other web programming languages.
- 2+ years experience designing, querying, and updating databases in MySQL.
- Advanced understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Advanced understanding of object-oriented principles.
- Understanding of MVC design patterns.
- Basic understanding of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel, Zend Framework, etc (depending on your technology stack)
- Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, etc)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with open source projects like Joomla, Wordpress, etc.
- Familiarity with eCommerce projects such as Magento, wooCommerce, etc.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
