Overview:
Responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, planning and execution for the company’s Structural Steel Projects.
Scope of the Role:
- Responsible for determining the project delivery strategy and scheduling of different phases of a project based on established deadlines.
- Develop and maintain a schedule milestone and budget for the assigned project.
- Provide reports on the status of project milestones and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Oversight of resource allocation and delivery of materials and equipment to Project sites.
- Manage and negotiate contacts with subcontractors, vendors, etc. in an effort to establish and build strategic relationships that may produce possible partnerships or business opportunities for the future of the company.
- Ensure maintaining strong relations with key clients at all times through periodic communication and meetings.
- Prepare interim and completion project reports.
- Ensure stringent application of world class Quality, Health, Safety and Environment policies on all sites of operation while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements of relevance.
- Act as a mentor and coach to team members in order to maintain their overall professional and personal development reflective on performance.
- Oversee and manage all contractual aspects of the projects undertaken while ensuring proper financial accountability for delivery.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in project management specifically in Structural Steel. Commercial project experience is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office programs
- Demonstrable track record of timely project delivery. PMP certification is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence teams, organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
