Job Description

Role purpose:

  • The cognitive engineer is a core member of the agile teams implementing cognitive solutions, these cognitive solutions are to be fit-for-purpose, efficient, and of high quality.
  • The responsibility of the cognitive engineer is responsible for building and implementing new cognitive functionalities

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Contribute in Sprint planning and task assignment.
  • Configuration of cognitive modules of Cognitive solution in line with Cognitive Technical Architect designs
  • Review and insure the quality standard of the team deliverable
  • If necessary, developing modules described within the Solution design documents inside the Cognitive Solution
  • Unit testing for all the components
  • Integrating the Cognitive solution with other systems

Job Requirements

  • Graduation degree in technology
  • Working in international, distributed teams
  • Experience of working on projects that span multi-disciplinary areas of differing size and complexity to meet business expectations and deliver results.
  • Confident and able to liaise and influence at all levels within Vodafone and/or relevant customer organizations
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills with demonstrable experience of the production of plans to describe stage, phase, dependency and milestones

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in software development
  • Java Scripting
  • Python
  • Have strong Analysis and Leadership skills
  • Have “Gets things Done” Attitude
  • Very good understanding for Object-oriented programming
  • Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualise it as an automated solution
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
  • Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
  • An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
  • A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team.
