Job Purpose

  • The Finance Officer’s prime responsibility is to ensure that cash in and out of the project is fully and accurately recorded and that cash balances are correct.

Responsibilities

The Finance Officer’s core responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintaining financial records.
  • Ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet the projects day to day expenses.
  • Paying suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Preparation and payment of salaries and expenses.
  • Ensuring cash balances.
  • Providing reports to management team as and when requested.
  • The responsibilities are indicative and may vary over time. Employees are expected to undertake other responsibilities relevant to the nature, level and scope of the role.

Supporting Other Team Members

  • Every member of the operations team is expected to support other team members as and when required.

Delivering Continuous Improvement

  • Every member of the operations team is expected to continuously seek ways to deliver the task in the most efficient way possible while maintaining an excellent standard of work.

Procurement Support Tasks

  • As part of the role the Finance officer will take ownership of a key element of procurement support.
