Job Description

  • Manage EDA CMS, working with developers and editors to ensure it is meeting the needs of EDA
  • Conduct content audits to identify gaps and redundancies in the site content
  • Create and implement content schedules for staff/stakeholders to produce or update content
  • Produce maps and visualisations of the site to help in understanding the structure and function of the website
  • Write and edit web copy
  • Source, commission and sometimes edit images and videos
  • Develop policies relating to your organisation & web content
  • Assess current content and content practices and recommend investments that will drive improved speed, efficiency and innovation for the business
  • Oversee content audits, analyze and report on the results, and provide leadership to ensure the content supports user and business goals
  • Define and manage the optimal content management capabilities including content creation, workflow, lifecycle, content delivery, tagging, security and auditing within a defined budget
  • Survey users and hold focus groups to learn about how they view your site
  • Train staff in writing and producing content for the web
  • Assure digital content management system is adhering to content audit requirements and assist with troubleshooting content management system issues for production support team.
  • Identify, monitor, and research new trends in digital content management technologies and provide training, consultation or presentation of best practices in Content Management to key stakeholders.
  • Occasionally update HTML, CSS and JavaScript on EDA site
  • Stay knowledgeable about your site subject area.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Arts or related field
  • More than 2 years of professional experience as web content editor
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Highly organised, with the ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Experienced with one or more CMS
  • Strategic, and able to oversee large projects and coordinate the work of others
  • An excellent writer and editor, with excellent command in English (spelling and grammar)
  • Able to research, collate and summarise information from different sources
  • Logical and analytical, with an ability to spot patterns, gaps and repetitions in web content
  • Able to communicate confidently and clearly with a variety of stakeholders
  • Technically minded, with an understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web
    technologies
  • Knowledgeable about the website & users and industry
  • Willing to stay up to date with developments in Export area and in developments in the digital world.
