Job Description

Feed Sales Representative

  • Feed sales representatives sell livestock and poultry feed to dealers, farmers and production facilities.
  • They are in charge of finding new clients, maintaining margins, and meeting sales targets to increase feed volume and company profit.
  • Feed sales representatives market the company's product offerings in effective ways, understanding the product facts to share easily with customers.
  • They should be knowledgeable regarding the feed industry to keep an eye on competitor products and changing needs.
  • They should educate clients on the benefits of choosing their feed and why it compares better against the competition.
  • Feed sales representatives need to maintain detailed business transaction records to further understand who is buying their products, possibly leading to insights that improve customer retention.
  • If they see opportunities or threats in the market, they should advise management to ensure this can be addressed accordingly.

Feed Sales Representative Duties
