Job Description
The Senior Software Testing Engineer will be responsible for a variety of projects. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable record of accomplishment of contributing to quality (prevention) and test (detection) activities. The successful candidate brings knowledge of software QC methodologies, practices and processes as well as a strong desire to advance his\her knowledge and experience in these areas.
Responsibilities:
- Test new software features to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
- Log and track issues and provide feedback to developers, Project managers and Business analysts.
- Creates daily reports on sprint testing progress; contributes to project quality and test metrics.
- Create and execute manual and automated test cases
- Performs regression testing during each iteration to confirm the health and stability of the system.
- Responsible to create automates scripts to validate the functionalities of applications
- Responsible to create performance scripts to check and report the performance of applications
- Make recommendations for improvement of applications to programmers and software developers or engineers.
- Provide mentor-ship and leadership for key test initiatives. e.g. Functional and Performance Test Automation
- Assists in the definition and implementation of quality standards, processes and quality improvement programs.

- Demonstrated Ability defining and executing test cases for business systems, Development, integration and implementation projects.
- Demonstrated ability formulating, executing test plans, and communicating the results to a technical audience.
- Ability to work at a detailed level and quickly learn business application-specific details.
- Proficient in writing scripts with Java, JavaScript or C#.
- Proficient in open source tools like Selenium, HP UFT, and Test Selenium, HP UFT Selenium, HP UFT Complete etc.
- Proficient in Performance Test tools like Jmeter, Load Runner, and Rational Performance Testing etc.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Clear logical thinking skills.
- Excellent administrative and Multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem identification &problem solving skills.
Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor of Computer Science or any other relevant discipline.
- 3-6 years of experience in preferably in a software product environment.
- Strong knowledge and experience of functional and performance automation with license and open source tools.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Jenkins and TeamCity.
- Experience testing scalable enterprise web based applications
- Experience testing in a HTML5 and Java development environment.
- Experience with mobile platform testing (Android, iOS, Windows Phone).
- Experience with UI/UX and API Testing
