Job Description
Job Purpose
The senior animator works closely with the art director to create and develop the overall aesthetic of characters, storyboards, and backgrounds for animations.
They will work on creating impressive and influential advertisement and instructional videos that will be of great help in the growth of Nagwa.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing storyboards for the initial stages of production
- Developing the timing and pace of the movements of an object during the sequence of images and ensuring they follow the soundtrack and audio requirements
- Designing models, backgrounds, sets, objects, and the animation environment
- Illustrating texture and light through objects and scenes
- Creating promotional videos for advertisement purposes
- Creating animated instructional videos on how to use all the features on the website and the apps
- Setting style guidelines for developers when creating animated figures related to certain questions or equations
- Creating animated videos explaining experiments related to chemistry, physics, etc.
- Participating in creative meetings to contribute to story conception and direction
- Adding dimensions to designs using scenery and lighting effects
- Presenting designs for evaluation and feedback and making necessary edits when requested
- Collaborating with other design, product, and content technologies staff
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in arts
- 3+ years of experience in the same field
- Excellent knowledge of Final Cut, Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Knowledge of 3D CG and stop-motion animation is a plus
- A strong sense and appreciation of aesthetics and design elements such as color, balance, and typography
- Portfolio demonstrating previous professional animation experience
