Job Description
Sr. Android Developer
Our company is seeking experienced Senior Android Developer. Individual will use standard occupational tools and advanced knowledge of Computer Science and Engineering to design and develop Android applications.
Duties/BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
- Experience with multi-threading programming
- Familiarity with using Restful APIs
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Experience/knowledge with CI/CD
- Experience with Agile/ SAFe Software Development Principles
- Ability to take responsibility for the implementation, quality, and operation of large features, such as an epic-level story or multi-sprint feature.
More :
- Use Eclipse and Android plugins supporting versions of various Android SDK versions.
- Work on interfacing Mobile applications with back-end server using Web-Services based on Java.
- Use Web Services (SOAP) to obtain data from the server and extract XML data from it.
- Implement the voice search and text search.
- Write automated test scripts.
- define the UI requirements for the application
- Design all the screens of the application using various Custom Layout managers.
- Support the look and feel required by developing various UI elements including Buttons, Labels and Lists.
- Test the applications developed and resolve throughout software development lifecycle including preparing detailed program specification.
- Guide and assist in the implementation of build processes.
- May perform other duties as appropriate for this occupation.
Job Requirements
Education, Skills :
- A Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related IT field of study that provided the required skills and knowledge.
- Individual must also have at least (3) years of related experience in any position that provided the required skills and abilities.
- Individual must have demonstrated experience with:
- Extensive knowledge on the development and testing of Android applications
- Java Programming experience using various mobile development environments including Android SDK (1.6 to 4.4(Kit Kat))
- Developing and testing products using Java with Eclipse plug-in on the android platform
- Strong knowledge on Object Oriented Programming and Software Engineering Concepts (Design methodologies, Agile Development methodologies, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC))
- Experience with version control systems including SVN, Git Hub and issue trackers including Bugzilla.
- Ability to create technical documents (e.g. designs, test plans, test reports) that are concise, clear and well organized
