Job Description
We are a Multi-National Company have offices in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Tunisia.
We looking for an experienced Senior Accountant, The successful candidate must ensure the integrity of Company’s accounting information by overseeing all components of the general ledger. Also be responsible for preparing financial reports in accordance with IFRS. The successful candidate will be required to perform all routine activities for the day to day operations of the company.
This is a new role, part of a startup division, so the position requires someone to be very hands-on.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation
- Prepare monthly financial statements to include the monthly balance sheet, income statement and report on changes in financial position/budget variances and maintain related records.
- Assist in company-wide budgetary planning
- Oversee, review, and adhere to the budgets for each business unit and department
- Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed
- Maintain the general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliation, closing books monthly and setting up new accounts.
- Responsible for petty cash, AP and AR and banking activities
- Handling VAT & General Tax Activity.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with IFRS
- Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants
- Create, Update and implement financial policies and procedures
- Work with the sales teams to ensure all invoices released and collection done based on agreed terms
- Prepare documents for annual external audit
- Provide financial analytical reports and KPI to management
Job Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree / Chartered Accountant / CPA
- Accounting knowledge, including use of concepts and principles together with a minimum of five to ten years’ post qualification experience
- Must have experience in Saudi Arabia and Egypt as Senior Accountant/ Chief Accountant/ Auditor with strong knowledge of local Accounting Standard and General Accounting Systems
- Must Have Practical knowledge of VAT & Tax in Saudi Arabia and Egypt
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English and Arabic, French Language is plus
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management
