Job Description
We are looking for a Backend Web Developer to ensure and maintain elcinema.com's commitment to deliver the best possible quality of software products and services.
As a Backend Web Developer you will work as a member of our development team to develop and create new products and services, as well as revamp and improve the existing ones. Your role will involve coding and developing for different projects
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, clean, and reliable Ruby code.
- Help maintain code quality and organization.
- Identify code bugs, and work on developing solutions to these problems.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, refactoring, code standards)
- Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design.
Job Requirements
- BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- You have worked with Ruby. We are willing to accept candidates with similar level of experience in other languages as long as they are willing to switch to Ruby.
- Have experience with JavaScript
- PHP
- React
- A knack for writing “Clean, Readable Ruby code”.
- Linux is a close friend, and Docker is your future.
- Have experience with Agile development or SCRUM framework.
- It is imperative that you be familiar with the following: JavaScript, HTML, CSS & JQuery.
- One of these database systems is your favorite for a reason: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDb, Redis.
