Job Description
We are looking for an energetic candidate to fill a senior-level ROR developer role in our team. In this position, candidate will have the ability to articulate engineering design strategies related to scalability, performance, security, usability and development platforms. Candidate will also participate in architecture planning of SOA- Microservices/APIs that integrates with internal and external services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
- Communicates and enforces best practice coding standards to maintain high code quality.
- Assists team members by reviewing code and providing suggestions.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- BS degree in computer science/engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years solid experience and proficiency with Ruby on Rails.
- Excellent understanding of the MVC and OOP principles.
- Database experience with MySQL and MongoDB.
- Proficiency with Git for version control.
- Experience with Cloud platforms AWS or Google Cloud.
- Strong knowledge in Node.js is a plus.
- Front-end knowledge: HTML5, HAML, CSS3, SAAS, Angular and React are preferable.
Desired Skills:
- Experience decomposing complex monoliths into independent services.
- Strong software engineering & architecture fundamentals: SOA and Microservices.
- Have experience with AWS Lambda/Serverless technologies.
