Job Description
- Have a fundamental understanding of the processes and documentation requirements involved in international shipping & Logistics
- Have a strong general market knowledge
- Build and manage relationships with potential and existing clients
- Produce and present sales proposals
- Maintain constant awareness of product offerings and developments
- Daily communication with customers, vendors and overseas offices
Job Requirements
- experience between 3 - 5 years in freight forwarding companies a customer facing sales role, ideally within the logistics industry
- A good understanding of logistics and forwarding products, solutions, pricing and terminology, in the local market
- A strong understanding of Ocean and Airfreight products and regulations
- Great relationship building skills
- Well-developed communication, persuasiveness, influencing and presentation skills
- Demonstrable ability to handle most common customer objections
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
- Willingness to travel to meet with clients
- Minimum 3 years International Logistics Sales experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment, while delivering independent results
- Strong ability to persuade, motivate and influence others
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively
