Job description

The Professional Services Manager will effectively manage the smooth running of the delivery department, ensuring all consultancy days are delivered to a high standard. Managing a team of professional consultants, the role will also include project and diary management, to ensure projects are delivered in a cost effective and timely manner. The key objective is to maintain and increase utilization of the delivery team, whilst communicating and supporting our customers and consultants at all stages of the project. This will ensure tasks are completed as required and any issues arising are dealt with in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • ODOO expert.
  • Management of professional service consultants (Implementer, Business Analysts, project managers), including both directly employed and external contractors.
  • Diary organisation and planning.
  • Manage day to day operational aspects of projects.
  • Identify resource and assign responsibilities.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored.
  • Work closely with consultants and customers to plan project timeline, to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
  • Submit project status and consultant utilization reports to management team.
  • Manage utilization across the team to ensuring efficient use of time and resource.
  • Attend customer sites where appropriate.
  • Provide internal support for consultants and liaise with other departments where necessary.
  • Handle issue/dispute resolution.
  • Ensure clear and timely billing of projects and support credit control function and cash collection process.

Job Requirements

  • Collaborative leadership style.
  • Experience as a project manager.
  • Well organized with the skill to guide customers with a firm and assured manner.
  • Ability to identify issues and provide solutions at the earliest opportunity.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Be able to interpret and understand client’s needs/requirements.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Experience in providing professional services within the accounting software industry (desirable but not essential).
  • Professional accounting qualification (desirable but not essential).
