- Coordinate with the Team Leader on current tasks
- Develop complex web applications including the architecture, design, coding, integration, and maintenance of web and database applications; implement and automate back end systems
- Develop and maintain complex high traffic websites in different CMS
- Unit-test code for robustness and usability
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Communicate clearly with team members and clients
- Mentor, coach, and train other team members on complex technical issues
Job Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
- 3+ years working experience in web development.
- Write code and own the detailed design of all application modules including frontend, backend, and system integration.
- Write unit tests and fix defects to ensure code quality.
- Guide other developers with best practices for code design, code quality, and coding standards. Perform code reviews.
- Own, plan, and perform advanced activities to ensure high performance and continuous improvement of solutions; including code optimization, code re-use, and refactoring.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies. Continuously evaluate and promote the use of new tools, techniques, frameworks, and platforms.
- Follow standard change and version control processes.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented and MVC concepts.
- Experience in at least {1 year} of the following is highly desired: database design, NoSQL databases, microservices and cloud computing frameworks (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
- Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, and change control tools such as Jira.
- Experience in integration with 3rd party system experience in debugging.
- Experience in profiling and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Experience in at least {3 years} of the following is highly desired: AngularJS, CSS, responsive design, shell scripting, and continuous integration.
- Experience in the following is required: PHP, Laravel, and JavaScript.
