Job Description

Our Client is a leading company in sales, marketing and distribution of specialty chemicals and food ingredients. They supply the most comprehensive range of excipients, non-active pharmaceutical ingredients, specialty solvents, process chemicals and intermediates for formulation and chemical synthesis.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops sales opportunities (Prospecting) by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; and building rapport with customers.
  • Provide technical information and explanations to all parties
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by Country Manager.
  • Provide timely responses to customer inquiries.
  • Personally, managing opportunities generated by telephone, web and e-mail inquiries and close sales.
  • Qualifying inquiries to chemistry compatibility and business potential; while facilitating a warm handoff to partner, Customer Support or Sales Manager.
  • Manage IMCD supplier’s products and portfolios including qualifying inquires, follow up and generating sales.
  • Enter and update leads, opportunities, quotations and other customer information in CRM system.
  • Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. (when inside sales person is successful when TM is successful, make a team component)
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Country Manager

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in R&D Department of Pharmaceutical plant out of range of 6-8 years of total experience. Inside or outside sales experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree is a must of a reputable university
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred, Technical master degree will be a big advantage
  • Self-motivated, energetic performer with solid communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
