Job Description
- Utilize market data and develop sales strategies to increase customer database
- Maintain a through knowledge of products and services offered by the company - develop and maintain strong business relationships
- Develop a market strategy and innovations to increase the marketability and profitability of FISI services
- Prepare presentations demonstrating how FISI services can fulfill needs and requirements of target accounts
- Develop sales plans and sales campaigns to take advantage of market opportunities
- Mentor subordinates to effectively sell freight forwarding services through formal training and joint sales calls and meetings
- Provide marketing support and knowledge within the company for all provided services
- Develop strong network of contacts within the clients and factories to keep informed of business trends and competitor activity
- Lead sales team to sell freight forwarding services through formal training and joint sales calls
- Manage current and targeted key account relationships to strategically grow FISI revenue streams with assigned accounts
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly management reports
- Prioritize sales targets and propose winning partnerships with assigned targeted accounts
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree (BA/BS), ideally with major/concentrations in business/marketing, logistics and/or supply chain management, or equivalent degree.
- 10+ years of related sales experience, with a demonstrable book of business
- Relevant (functionally specific) job knowledge and experience, including ocean.
- Ability to sell/represent the company other lines of business including customs brokerage and related value added information services.
- A unique combination of good interpersonal and communications/presentation skills, both written and oral, coupled with a sharp business acumen and consultative sales.
