Job Description

  • Capabilities (Design, implement, manage),
  • Opportunity validation for the customer requirements (realistic requirement, technical)
  • Context of the project, political alignment and compelling event.
  • Ability to design RFP/RFI/RFQ
  • Support sales in positioning billable consulting work to customers when such services will facilitate progression towards or closure
  • Develop technical and general skills towards the consultancy level and be updated on the latest technologies in order to be a strategic partner for customers.
  • Use this knowledge to design commercially and technically viable solutions to the smart system; particularly for complex customer requirements.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the external tools that are required in conjunction with internal tools, systems and processes in order to develop quality / approved technical proposals to customers.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge of all smart system portfolio, services and solutions sets
  • Ability to interface with customers as required during any stage of the customer lifecycle and effectively articulate the smart system value proposition
  • Actively participate in the tendering process and development of proposals in line with customer needs, liaising with other colleagues as necessary. Present proposal to internal communities as required as well as to customers. Support the development of customer SLAs and Service Delivery Kits.
  • Ability to use vendor configurator including Cisco, Dell, EMC, Netapp, Veeam, VMware,..
  • Design of compliance sheet, acceptance test, project plan, project time plan.
  • Deal registration and opportunity reservation for each vendor
  • General and primary discounts for each vendor.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of data center business and technology inclusive of solution justification
  • Excellent data center technical architecture knowledge (VMware and Cisco certification is desirable)
  • Expertise in high level design and solution description
  • Knowledge how to sell the products in technical and financial sides
  • Knowledge of licensing type and product family for each vendor and levels of support per vendor
  • Proven track record in technical leadership for a complex project (design and/or implementation)
  • Ability and knowledge to compare products in the same area and compare the pros and cons
  • Provide the solutions according to smart system portfolio and products and partnership level
  • Presales experience at least 3 years in the following fields and technologies:
  • VMware portfolio (vSphere, VSAN, NSX, Horizon View, Horizon App, WS1, AW, Pivotal cloud, App defence, integration for other product, sizing mechanism, ..etc.)
  • Servers (cisco, dell, Fujitsu)
  • Storage (EMC, Netapp), SAN, NAS
  • DC networking (LAN, SAN)
  • HCI (Cisco, Dell, Nutanix, VSAN RN)
  • Backup solutions (Veeam, Veritas, dell)
  • Microsoft licensing and products
