Job Description

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Perform and execute budgets.
  • Monitor and control deviations.
  • Perform comparative analysis report at different levels of reporting.
  • Perform periodical controls and audits to ensure policies and procedures are in place.
  • Assists in the day to day activities.
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
  • Produces payroll by initiating computer processing; printing checks, verifying finished product.Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors.
  • Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
  • Build business financial forecasting
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Facilitate and provide information to Accounts Department for accrued invoices at a required frequency.
  • verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Provide technical support and advice on Management accountant
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
  • Provide input into department’s goal setting process
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly cash flow report and ensure the company meets cash flow targets
  • Prepare weekly and monthly AR report
  • Prepare weekly revenue against budget
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by Finance Manager

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Education: BSC. Accounting
  • Years of experience: 5 years working experience with 2 years in a senior accountant role
  • Computer skills: Excellent in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and very familiar with Accounting ERPs
  • Language skills: English (Excellent- Fluent)
  • Experience in leading an accounts team is a plus
  • Track record of managing a high volume of data
  • Experience in the industry of Internet/Online Classified/E-Commerce is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups, pivot tables, and formulas
  • Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects
  • Team-player
  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
