Job Description
Job Purpose
The Merchant Risk & Fraud Manager is responsible for setting the company’s strategic risk & fraud management program. You will be the company’s focal point in anything related to merchant fraud & risk strategy.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a proficient team of fraud professionals through education and coaching to ensure Payment risk management strategy and practices are driven to all levels in the Company.
- Own and drive the risk management program in collaboration with senior management
- Develop and optimize new and existing business/merchant onboarding processes, focusing on merchant risk assessment and verification
- Develop risk management metrics to monitor and manage ongoing merchant fraud risk
- Develop a transaction level monitoring system to identify and predict risky behavior
- Work cross-functionally to develop and implement data-driven policies, procedures and controls
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders
- Execute additional tasks to meet company, department, or project objectives
Job Requirements
Our Perfect Match:
- You bring 10+ years of banking industry experience with 5+ years in merchant underwriting or risk management.
- Significant domain expertise in merchant onboarding and ongoing portfolio risk monitoring
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to make data driven strategic arguments and decisions
- You are fluent in English and Arabic
- You are self-driven and highly motivated to pursue a career in a dynamic and growing company
- You have a high sense of work ownership
- You have excellent analytical and conceptual skills and your working style is pro-active and result oriented
- You are able to work and communicate in a fast-paced environment
