Job Description

  • Record and process accounts receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data
  • Generate accounting statements and reports
  • Research cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts
  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
  • Maintain client accounts, accounts receivable write-offs and payment reversals
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Prioritise invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
  • Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions; perform month-end closing
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Utilise computerised accounting software programs to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
  • Provide monthly financial and management reports
  • Assist in financial management, analysis, and auditing as requested

Job Requirements

  • Updated with Egyptian & International accounting standards and practices
  • Experience in accounting and database and data mining software
  • Proven experience as an accountant
  • Excellent organizing abilities
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumenGood understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
  • Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required
  • BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field
  • CPA is a plus
