Job Description
- Oversee planning & design in areas of MEP systems including developing process, standards, inspection procedures & evaluation tools in MEP matters.
- Coordinate with all MEP discipline, Contractor's engineering staff, project consultants / and engineer on all aspects of MEP work.
- Chair MEP design team meetings, as required.
- Review designs issued by the professional team to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Supervise and monitor the preparation of co-ordination drawings to ensure that all services are incorporated and coordinated with each other and also with building structure architectural features and interior finishes.
- Review and approve Contractor’s ‘as built’ drawings.
- Provide advice to the Project manager in regard to any mechanical services related variation costs that may be claimed by the Contractor during the course of the works.
- Periodical inspection of site activities and any discrepancies noticed shall be brought to the notice of Project Manager for any remedial action.
- Advise the Project Manager of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, e.g. quality or snagging.
- Witness mechanical system final testing and commissioning.
- Advise on long lead MEP items that may affect progress of the works.
- Review and comment on Contractor’s testing and commissioning results and advise the Project manager accordingly.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or related fields
- 8-10 years of experience hands on Revit,BIM,MEP, Shop drawing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point).
- Excellent Command of English language skills.
- Experience with projects Gulf Area.
