Freelance Videographer

Meraya Co is looking to hire a freelance videographer for the duration of three months for the duration of a project with the United Nations Population Fund.
About Meraya:

• Meraya is a privately owned events management company that caters to organization like the United Nations Population Fund, International Labor Organization, and the World Food Programme.
• Since its launch in 2017, Meraya has successfully executed several events for the organizations mentioned above.
• Meraya managed the UNFPA Population Awareness Bus Tour, which involved transporting volunteers and UNFPA professionals from Aswan to Alexandria to conduct awareness on population growth in Egypt.
• Additionally, Meraya then worked on the Along the Nile Campaign, a month long marathon that saw 4 Egyptians walk from Aswan to Cairo on foot.

About the Event:

• Building on its track record, Meraya is now working with the UNFPA and other corporate entities in Egypt on managing a football league for girls from Egypt's different governorates. The league will be organized in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the UNFPA.
• For the duration of the event (3 months), Meraya is looking to hire a professional videographer who will is willing and available to travel to the different governorates to cover the event and develop the video material that will be used during and after the event is concluded.

Role:

• The videographer will shoot footage and assist in editing. The videographer will accomplish the bulk of the technical tasks related to production and post-production.
• He or she will transport, set up, and operate equipment; and assist with staging, set preparation and dressing.
• The videographer will work closely with the creative director to execute the concept through to completion.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Determines what camera equipment is necessary and obtains equipment
• Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production
• Operates and maintains proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment
• Collects b-roll footage of campus as well as interviews

Additional responsibilities may include:

• Supports the team throughout the production process, which may include finding interview subjects, creating graphics, and presenting to client (UCAM) and other constituents
• Helps to sustain and guide creative process
• Assists in maintaining a blog to document the team's progression
• Assists in developing interview questions and storyboards
