Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

  • Develop marketing strategy by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in
  • supply and demand, identifying customers' current and future needs and controlling
  • competition.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans that maximize profitability, market share and
  • revenue growth in the short and long term.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Marketing Strategy: Using his/her business experience and expertise to add value to the company and help in decision making, lead the development of marketing strategies identifying market trends, commercial opportunities and product potential and providing a focus on priorities for sales teams, in line with overall MACRO strategic priorities and targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Build a market intelligence data base by carrying out analysis, interpretation and use of market research and information gathered from a variety of external and internal sources for decision making on pricing, market growth, business development and positioning of MACRO products in Egypt.
  • Product Strategies: Lead the development of strategic planning for new and existing products, determining the positioning, pricing, distribution and promotion of products to exploit market potential and meet targets for market share, profitability and growth.
  • Line Management: Lead and motivate a team of staff, including recruitment, training, development and the management of performance to ensure that the quality of marketing services and expertise meet business needs

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant major (Pharmacy, Medicine or Science
  • MBA in Marketing is a plus
  • Language: Excellent English and Arabic, written and spoken
  • Computer: Very good computer skills – knowledge and understanding of relevant software and hardware systems

Experience:

  • Comprehensive understanding of marketing techniques and principles, gained over several years’ experience (approximately 8+) and through formal training and professional development
  • Sound understanding of business and management principles, reinforced by relevant development and training
  • Very good working knowledge and understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to assess and interpret key market trends and patterns and identify commercial opportunities from a range of information sources
  • Evidence of influential relationships with a network of key opinion formers, industry contacts and influences
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop relationships with customers and key contacts
