Job Description
- Develop a nationwide procurement network for corn & soy to meet our requirements for Kaduna & Ilorin feed mills at lowest delivered cost.
- Evaluate the option of purchasing from large traders vs. deepening our procurement model to purchase from primary aggregator or even farmers.
- Develop a strategy for large-scale procurement during season and store it in upcountry locations incl. rented silos and/or flat warehouses from state/central govt.
- Institute a cost-efficient crop survey program to build proprietary market intelligence, giving us a distinct competitive edge vs. other feed millers.
- Work closely with Head – Nutrition to identify alternative RM and develop sourcing strategies for them.
- Monitor and report procurement activities of our competitors and benchmark our procurement efficiency vs. them
- Lead and manage a team of Procurement managers and field staff across the country
Job Requirements
- Min 7-8 years of primary procurement experience.
- MBA from tier 1 B-school.
