Job Title: Disability Officer
Department: HEI Public University Scholarship Program, AMIDEAST/Egypt
Immediate Supervisor: Project Director
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Position Summary:
The Disability Officer is responsible for the project that will establish and/or develop a disability service center at each of five public universities (Ain Shams, Alexandria, Assiut, Cairo, Mansoura) through coordination with university leadership, a subgrantee with expertise in disability services, and the AMIDEAST HEI team. The Officer will ensure a strong management and policy structure for each center, establishment of a strategic plan, and implementation of activities to achieve project objectives. The Disability Officer will also provide technical guidance and advice to the AMIDEAST HEI team working with students with disabilities. The Officer will report to the Project Director.

The HEI Public University Scholarship Program will provide underserved students from across Egypt with high quality undergraduate education in Egypt, and the skills and knowledge to participate actively and responsibly in their communities and contribute to the economic development of the country.
