Job Description

Academic related duties:

  • Creating & updating rosters for academic online websites e.g. Think Central, Scholastic, IXL..etc
  • Updating shared department folder (e.g. on Dropbox) & saves all weekly planners, YLPs, meeting agendas, weekly updates etc.
  • Liaising with HoDs. (e.g. Arabic HoD to arrange for cover for any absent teachers.
  • Maintaining professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc.
  • Following up with teachers on inventories, book supplies etc. & creates folders to store all the information needed
  • Updating shared department folder (e.g. on Dropbox) & saves all weekly planners, YLPs, meeting agendas, weekly updates etc.
  • Keeping track of teachers’ PD hours, courses, certificates & stores all information

Administrative duties:

  • Creating MAP tests & accommodations schedules
  • Updating students’ transition log information & updates any important information on the students (e.g. major sicknesses, death of a parent, divorce etc.)
  • Printing out reports & makes sure to give a copy to the EC/ES secretary to update student files.
  • Liaising with SLTs of different departments regarding shared teachers’ time-tables, schedules, trips, absences etc.
  • Assisting with entry assessment schedules & report writing.
  • Updating teachers’ files with important info., observations, notes etc. & shares them with the principals secretary.
  • Coordinating books & copy book orders
  • Taking & keeping meeting minutes
  • Updating & keeping track of students’ pictures folder
  • Keeping track of lists of parents who do not show up for parents’ meetings

Activities related duties:

  • Creates & prints out certificates for Reading Cookies, Reading Counts etc.
  • Helps with trips supervision when needed.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Knowledge of office management systems, educational websites used etc.
  • Attention to detail & problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong organizational & planning skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
