About the Job
  • Negotiate rates, transportation and handling costs with shipping lines & overseas company agents
  • Obtain rates & quote offers for shipping services required by customers
  • Obtain, check and prepare documentation to meet customers requirements
  • Co-ordinate the shipments with overseas agents
  • Track & trace shipments & update customers on regular basis
  • Complete invoicing and billing processes; assist in the investigation of billing issues and develops solutions for problems to ensure accurate invoices are provided to the customer in a timely manner
  • Consistently meets the customer’s needs around shipment bookings, collections, delivery, and shipment updates
Job Requirements
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Previous experience in a freight forwarding company
  • Demonstrated outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to quickly develop rapport with customers
  • Ability to handle a shipment from booking to delivery
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills and a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a high-volume, fast paced environment
  • International freight forwarding experience with current networks
