Accountant

Job Purpose:

Perform all accounting transactions within the station, analyze financial information and prepare monthly financial reports to maintain various financial activities within the company, and resolve any accounting discrepancies, in line with IFP accounting procedures and local financial and legal requirements. Act as a link between the station and the Accounting & Finance department at Head Office.

Main Tasks:

• Perform and process accounting entries in a timely manner and allocate costs to related events and cost centers
• Handle supplier payments and update ageing of payables and receivables
• Check and manage the treasury position on a weekly basis
• Perform monthly reconciliation of bank and sister companies’
• Perform end of month and end of year closing tasks
• Prepare and submit the required financial statements monthly
• Prepare and analyze the annexed reports to the financial statements
• Assist HR Department in monthly payroll preparation
• Coordinate with HR on the end of service indemnity procedures
• Analyze and report variances on events budgetary control sheets
• Coordinate with sales regarding clients’ accounts
• Issue invoices and credit notes to clients
• Update the sales report
• Follow up on client and supplier payments’ collection
• Liaise with external and internal auditors where needed
