Job Description
- Administer all import and export of goods and supervise the delivery of all goods and manage the distribution of all goods to various geographical locations efficiently.
- Oversee handling of all goods and ensure safety in all transportation and design cost-effective methods for same and analyze best means of transport for all products as per customer requirement in coordination with the manager.
- Maintain subject matter expertise in all import and export operations and evaluate all company businesses and provide require classification for same.
- Collaborate with senior management and ensure compliance to all trade regulations and changes and provide training to all section employees for all import & export processes.
- Perform all internal and external audits and perform required prior disclosures for all processes and supervise the efficient working of all external agents such as freight forwarders and customs brokers.
- Monitor implementation of all department operations and ensure compliance to all regulations for department and subsidiaries and adhere to all standards for import and export goods and establish all targets and streamline processes to incorporate all government regulations.
- Design all compliance forms and templates and prepare required reports and maintain an efficient import and export classification databases and ensure accuracy in same and ensure compliance to all regulations.
- Assist all companies in import and export operations and implement trade agreement programs and maintain internal controls for same.
- Monitoring of the shipments to ensure the compliance of regulations.
- Search for possibilities to reduce taxes, duties, freight, transportation and demurrage cost.
- Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of imports and exports.
- Responsible for managing and reviewing governmental & freight operational policies, standards and procedures.
- Revising and approve all Import & Export landed cost invoices.
- Follow up and managing customs account.
- Follow up AMANAT value and ensuring refund on time.
- Managing Export incentives team to ensure collection of all export incentives on time.
- Managing Drawback of raw and packing materials as per governmental regulations to ensure collection time.
- Following all regulations related to import and export and deal with governmental authorities for any inspection.
- Cooperate and follow with other company departments about any import and export requirements and responsible to respond to their requests.
Job Requirements
- University Graduate with a commercial background, Logistics Diploma is a plus.
- Knowledge of business, import and export regulations and management principles.
- Financial and commercial awareness, with strong leadership and strategic thinking capability.
- Strong analytical skills and an excellent aptitude for developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to explore innovative and creative means of delivering improved service outcomes through effective resource utilization, whilst minimizing risk and maintaining a focus on delivering business as usual.
- Ability to provide visible and supportive leadership, empowering, motivating and developing staff and fostering a positive organizational culture focusing on delivering improved outcomes for service users.
- Ability to initiate, develop and implement effective strategies with clear goals and to make clear, informed, appropriate nd timely decisions together with an ability to challenge poor service delivery.
- Effective negotiating and presentational skills.
- Excellent communication skills to relate effectively to internal stakeholders and external/general public stakeholders commanding their respect, trust and confidence.
