Head of an Academic Department is to provide strong academic leadership.
To manage and motivate all departmental staff, to enable pupils to receive an education in the subject, in a positive, encouraging and effective working environment
To hold regular department meetings in order to set standards and monitor progress against targets and to provide relevant information to the department in a timely manner
Required to exercise leadership, demonstrate vision, and empower others in order to deliver the agreed departmental strategy within the Faculty. It is recognized that the methods by which Heads of Department carry out their duties and the extent of delegation.
To ensure the development of the subject, to keep up to date with changes in the curriculum and to encourage a wide range of activities to support the subject in university
To ensure that all entrance papers for the department are set and marked efficiently
To see all projected grades are submitted on time, internal moderation procedures are carried out effectively and accurate records of achievement are kept for the department
To attend meetings when required by Senior Management
To carry out any other duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Abide by Health and Safety regulations

Qualifications:

Gender :Male / Female
Associate Professor / Professor
Experience :10-15 years Preferably academic background
Teaching for particular subject or group of subjects
Monitoring the department educational processes to ensure the good professional practice, standards and quality of learning of department different subjects
Excellent command of English language
Microsoft office, good communication and presentation skills
