Job Description
- Manage the accounting activities and the month-end close process, ensuring the appropriate application of accounting standards and company policies, and timely review and posting of journal entries and reconciliations
- Identify and institute process improvements where necessary to enable the accounting team to scale with the business
- Assist in implementing, documenting, and monitoring of key controls around accounting processes, including leading the creation and maintenance of process documentation
- Lead timely month close of fixed assets, accruals, payroll and compliance across 3 different jurisdictions
- Build and maintain accounting dashboards, including overall team progress on deadlines, month end close recaps, etc. for ease and effectiveness of senior management review
- Interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including the company’s external auditor, to successfully resolve complex accounting and reporting matters as well as the accounting of acquired businesses
- Support management reporting efforts driving visibility to key areas of the business through participating in long-term planning and strategy development for continuous improvement and growth

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting; MBA or CPA is a plus
- 5+ years’ experience, with public accounting experience from a Big 4 accounting firm
- 3+ Years of supervisory position
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills - ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries
- Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytic skills, including superior financial modeling, Excel
- Continuous improvement attitude; ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and global ERP applications (ex. Odoo, Oracle, etc..)
- Mix of public company experience and Big 4 audit experience preferable
- In depth understanding of IFRS and Egyptian Accounting Standards
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced, dynamic environment while collaborating across business functions to drive change
