Job description

Managing and coordinating all English teaching programmes academically and technically. Following up with teachers, assisting in schedule preparation, coordinating trainings and attending periodical class observations.

Detailed duties include:

  • Communicating with teachers to setup classes timetable and ROTA.
  • Coordinating the recruitment process for teachers with HR.
  • Conducting demos for teachers looking to join The IG Club staff.
  • Conducting parents’ meetings and orientation sessions for new comers and existing students.
  • Conducting and overviewing placement tests.
  • Creating activities bank for teachers to enrich their classes.
  • Overviewing classes activities.
  • Ensuring that teachers are documenting class progress and reporting it.
  • Making sure that teachers are committed to company’s regulations.
  • Following up with parents and students and resolving any complaints.
  • Substituting any absent teacher in case there are no available substitute teacher.
  • Plan and execute teacher development programmes and trainings with internal and external parties.
  • Developing the programme along with consultants, publishers and experts from the field.
  • In collaboration with all staff implement effective and age appropriate behaviour strategies to ensure good order and discipline is maintained at all times
  • Supervise and overview IELTS preparation programme.
  • Conduct and overview IELTS Simulation exams.

Job Requirements

Personal qualities required:

  • Able to communicate effectively with students, administration, teaching staff, as well as parents.
  • Able to work efficiently under stress and pressure.
  • Able to follow instructions.
  • Competent planning and organisational skills.

Requirements

  • A bachelor degree in teaching English or a relevant degree.
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in teaching English as second language.
  • Master degree in English language or literature /PGCE/ CELTA is essential.
  • DELTA would be desirable.
